Mateus Humberto

PhD Student

Mateus holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP), where he joined the Dual-Degree Program Architect-Engineer both at FAU-USP (Brazil) and the EPFL (Switzerland).

Before starting his PhD, he worked for NGOs (Techo, apē estudos em mobilidade, ITDP, WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities), transport consultancies (Logit, TC Urbes, Instituto Movimento), and has taken part of a research at the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF). His researches are mostly focused on the interactions between active mobility, the formation of habits, and the formulation of public policies, with emphasis on social justice and childhood issues.
