Andreza Roma
Visiting PhD Student
Andreza is graduated in Civil Engineering from UFSCar (Federal University of São Carlos), where she developed her interest in urban mobility during her undergraduate research (Iniciação Científica) focused on developing a bicycle level of service.
She completed her MSc in Transportation Engineering at EESC-USP (Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos, University of São Paulo) and she is currently a PhD student at the same institution. From February to July 2026, she is conducting part of her studies at Instituto Superior Técnico, under the supervision of Prof. Gabriel Valença. Her research focuses on urban mobility, with emphasis on evaluation of walkability in different mobility cultures through expert interviews.
She has professional experience in the private sector, having worked as a transport engineer in private companies. She contributed to the development of urban mobility plans in Brazilian cities Porto Ferreira (SP), Cuiabá (MT) and Anápolis (GO).
