Gabriel Valença

PhD Student

Gabriel Valença is a PhD candidate in Transportation Systems at the Instituto Superior Técnico, University of Lisbon, Portugal. He is a member of the European Doctoral Training Network held by the EIT Urban Mobility. Gabriel was a Visiting PhD scholar at the Technical University of Denmark for 6 months (2022).
He has graduated in Civil Engineering (5-year degree) at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (2017), Brazil, while, studying part of his degree at the University of Toronto, Canada (2013-2014). His research interests are related to urban design, road traffic management, travel behavior, smart cities, and transport modelling.
